Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What material is used to create the helmets?

A: High Impact Polystyrene with a thickness of 1.5mm to 2.0mm depending on the helmet you select. We use Resin for Greeblies.

 

Q: Can I get a custom colored helmet?

A: Yes, pending a consultation to determine if your desired colors are achievable.

There may be an additional charge?

 

Q: Do I get a helmet stand (as pictured on the website) with the finished product?

A: No, but you can purchase one for $20.00 at the time of your order.

 

Q: From the time I order how long until I receive the finished product?

A: Our average turn around time is 2 - 3 months. Time may vary due to high demand. We will be able to better determine the timeline when you order. If needed sooner there may be an additional charge.

 

Q: Are the helmets wearable?

A: Yes, they are lightweight but durable.  Our finished product will contain foam padding and chin straps similar to the original screen versions of the helmet you select.  They are assembled with screws and glue.

 

Q: Are the helmets durable?

A: Yes, to a point. Remember that these are essentially identical to the screen versions, which were made in the same way .  We recommend you use with caution.

 

Q: Can you see through the bubble lens on the helmets?

A: The lenses are transparent; however the bubble does create a slight distortion. We can provide flat lenses upon request.

 

Q: Are the helmets authentic?

A: Yes, we painstakingly have created our own molds that replicate the screen version, right down to the detail of greeblies, decals and paint schemes.

 

Q: Can the helmets be shipped anywhere and do the prices include shipping?

A: We can ship anywhere; however over seas shipments will not include insurance. Shipping Fees will be determined at the time of your order. A typical domestic shipment with insurance averages around $80. This is dependant on your selection as different helmets are different sizes. We utilize USPS for overseas shipping, however for additional shipping fee we will, upon request utilize UPS/FedEx/DHL. Please inquire about those prices as they could run as much as $200.00. We also provide the option for you to set up your own shipping, we would need the shipping label that would be created by the purchaser.

 

 

 

Q: What do I do if I receive a damaged helmet?

A: If there is damage to the box before opening, for insurance purposes please take pictures of the damaged box. If you receive a helmet that appears to have been damaged during shipping but your box is intact take pictures of the damaged areas and contact me  immediately so we can resolve the issues. We will ensure that you get what you paid for.

 

Q: Are the helmets pictured the same as the one I will receive.

A: Yes, with the exception of the stand as mentioned above.

 

Q: Do you require a deposit?

A: No.

 

 What is the process once I decide to have a helmet made?

  • Send an inquiry with your selection of helmet to TrooperHelmet@gmail.com or contact us on FaceBook at TrooperHelmet

  • We will then contact you to determine final cost with shipping, and any customizations you may want (which may effect the price)

  • Once we agree on your build we will determine the start to delivery timeframe and begin your build

  • Once we begin you will receive an update that will include any delays along with build pictures to show your build in process

  • Once we complete your helmet we will send you pictures, if all is good we will discuss a payment which includes Paypal or Venmo. If needed we can discuss other options if the above are viable.
